Recently, i hired few big Link building companies.But i am not satisfied with their work. Companies seems to be big but the work is very poor. I think i should have to for small scale companies which can care more about our sites.. What do you say guys?

I work for an SEO company and produce at LEAST 10 hot leads a day! How much could I charge for each of these leads? I also close one deal a day, everyday! I call insurance, real estate, locksmith’s, etc….

When SEOs caught on that a significant part of a site’s ranking came from the number of backlinks from other sites, which google uses as a gauge of a site’s popularity amount it’s piers.
This motivated SEOs to generate links, for a time the most popular approach was link exchanges, I will link to you if you link to me, there are management utilities that help manage these reciprocal links. Unfortunately the search engine robots have gotten good at identifying these link arrangements, no longer giving credit for gaming the system this way. There are more convoluted schemes, 3 way links, link wheels, etc. that the search engines are also learning to detect.
One way links would go from site A to site B, with the absence of a link from B to A.

As the search engines are evolving each and every day, it’s getting harder and harder to get top search engine rankings.

The search engines now, highly favor, websites that have a large number of quality, one way links pointing to them. Because of this, it’s absolutely critical that we consistently try to get other websites to link to us, WITHOUT us linking back to them.

Let me inject some personal comments here. Internet marketing is like a game with the rules in flux. Imagine if you were going up to bat in a baseball game and as you stepping into the batter’s box the umpire told you that you only get one strike this at bat. It would make the game very difficult to play. This is what is happening more and more often with Google, MSN and Yahoo. Meaning that just as soon as you think you know how the game is played, one of Search Engines comes along and upsets the apple cart by changing the rules. I do not mean to rant here, but if the individuals involved in the internet marketing industry would show a different level of integrity, then maybe this constant change would not be as necessary or as big an issue. The Search Engines not only have to protect themselves from fraud but it is in their best interest to protect their customers from search results which are either useless spam or fraudulent. Google has made it clear that CONTENT is king. RELEVANCY rules. Stop with all the black hat garbage and deliver what the searching prospect wants. Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Back to linking and increasing the rating that Google will assign to your website. This ranking of course is what it is all about as far as organic search volume is concerned. The higher Google ranks your website, the closer to page one for that specific search phrase or ‘keyword’ you will listed.

Not that long ago reciprocal linking was a often used technique to grow the number of incoming links on your website. Reciprocal linking is becoming less and less valuable. Google certainly is now crediting little if any value to reciprocal links. However, submitting your website to website directories is an excellent way to get, quality, 1 way links pointing to your websites. You see, many of the website directories online have a high amount of page rank and have been online for several years.

These are 2 of the most important criteria for determining what a good link is, vs what a bad link is. Again, these two criteria are:

1) The age of the website linking to you
2) The Page Rank of the website linking to you

With that said, many of these directories have both a high Page Rank AND are old websites, giving them more authority and power in the search engines.

Not only that, but there are literally thousands of website directories on the internet that are absolutely free for you to submit your website to! While it does take time to find these directories and then manually fill out all of the required criteria to submit your website, it is an excellent way to help increase your search engine rankings.
